Nights of the Round Table
Introducing a new complex at the festival this year, combining art, lights, and video performances by the Beer Sheva-based artist collective OFFBiT.
On opening night, the complex will host Electro Groove ensemble Monolyt.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the complex will present a round table full of intoxicating delicacies and drinks, surrounded by a group of talented musicians, pouring out their heart and soul.
A multi-sensory experience awaits you every day.
SHIRAN with an acoustic lineup of eight musicians and vocalists
A Circle Dedicated to the Sound of the Yemenite streets In every culture around the world, when people come together around a table, especially if they’re musicians – that’s when magic happens. We celebrate the culture, the connection and the humanity within all of us.
This year, the festival will recreate such an encounter. It will be led by Shiran Avraham and her fellow musicians. Avraham, an exceptional artist and vocalist, has been researching the Yemenite community’s music in Israel for years, in a range of versions and surprising aspects. This led her to create a tight musically-produced Electro-Celebration show, or an acoustic show that relies on live performance.
Sitting in a circle, you are welcome to join the show/happening, sing, move, and feel the rhythm. Some of the songs in the repertoire are well-known while others might be new; they’ll touch on the classics of Yemenite music, from the odes and prayers to the touching folklore women’s singing.
