Jerusalem Jazz Festival 2025 – Dreaming in the Garden.
This year, the Jerusalem Jazz Festival draws inspiration from the thrilling world of the Israel Museum’s flagship exhibition marking its 60th anniversary: Lucid Dreams. In days when it’s difficult to hold space for dreaming or imagine a better reality, this inspiration invites the audience on a delicate and captivating journey — between sleep and wakefulness, dream and nightmare, awakening and descent – into surreal and beautiful realms where imagination and reality merge.
In this spirit, the festival explores the expansive Art Garden of the Israel Museum — acres of a landscape that is itself a work of art. Along hills and winding paths, between sculptures and hidden artworks, where the magic unfolds and music touches art, nature, adventure, and the fulfillment of dreams.
Across the garden are six distinct stages, each with its own character: large and small, seated performances, standing or even lying down with your eyes closed; night shows with flashlights, artistic gatherings in tree groves, performances among labyrinths and sculptures, and many other surprises. Alongside world-class original jazz from Israel and abroad, you’ll encounter special collaborations and premieres, tributes, sacred music, Eastern melodies, hip-hop, electronic, funk and punk, interdisciplinary dance-art-music encounters, a touch of classical, and maybe even a bit of opera.
The festival spans two evenings packed with music and wonder, where a daily ticket grants access to over 20 performances each night across the various venues. Let yourself roam freely, discover art and music at every turn, and dive into a deeply artistic experience.
This year the Jerusalem Jazz Festival takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, May 21 and 22 from
18:30 to 23:00 at the Israel Museum.
