Archived Melodies” - The Shrine of the Book Complex | The Lionesses duo

The Lionesses’ ambient performance, Yael Lavie’s ensemble, this time in an acoustic duo version, with Kna’an Kaneti on the accordion and percussion and Yael Lavie on qanun and percussion.
The ensemble leader Lavie, a DJ and musician plays the qanun – a string instrument common in Arabic and Turkish music – and combined it with a variety of genres and electronic music.
In a special performance in the Shrine of the Book, created by the duo for the festival, they will explore the various possibilities of acoustic instruments in order to create an almost-meditative atmosphere without being drawn into the predetermined.
