Hillel Salem and Asaf Yuria Quintet

Like other friends from the scene, after a decade of life and work in New York, saxophonist Asaf Yuria and trumpeter Hillel Salem have recently returned to Israel. Perhaps a loss for the New York musician community, but a win for us as we gained a quintet of amazing musicians led by the duo Yuria-Salem with new and original compositions. We gained a show of warm sound from the brass instruments, with the line connecting the male and female members of the ensemble is their love for the tradition of jazz on which they grew up. It is music that has its feet on the ground of tradition and its head in the clouds of what’s current in the jazz capital of the world. We will be treated to a unique glimpse of this scene, without flights or masks.
