Apifera

The new quartet, whose members wear and shed multiple forms of creation and performance, arrive for a post-jazz, electronic and mysterious show. The Apifera are Yuval Havkin aka Rejoicer (keys) Nitai Hershkovits (keys), Amir Bresler (drums) and Yonatan Albalak (bass), all of which are musicians bursting with colors and styles. The group began performing in the last two years and soon signed a contract with the Los Angeles label Stones Throw. Drawing on the debut album Overstand, the show is a session of musically abstract thoughts and reveries about nature and the system of balances of which it consists. Apifera perform a harmonious and intriguing system of balances, of stout bass notes, hovering keys, and mesmerizing beats.
