Tadd Dameron Ensemble
Hosted by Danny Rosenfeld – trumpet player, drummer and jazz arranger
The ensemble studies the works of the composer Tadd Dameron, in their original arrangements, who was one of the most important and influential creators in jazz history. His works and arrangements were the cornerstone of the modern jazz style in the 1940s (bebop), and were played by the greatest musicians, among them – Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Fats Navarro, Max Roach, and Clifford Brown.
Tadd Dameron’s composition style deeply influenced numerous creators, such as Benny Golson, who also played in Dameron’s octet.
