A Pair Affair
The Ramangar family – choreographers Keren and Avner Pesach meet musical couple Yael and Eran Horwitz.
Two pairs with deep ties to Flamenco culture come together in a striking, energetic encounter of the interior and exterior, of body and home. The quartet leading this show (and the rest of it’s lineup) belong to a group of Flamenco artists in Jerusalem known for its regular travel between Israel and Spain, and it’s direct connection to the Romani Flamenco families of Andalusia and Madrid. Flamenco is a way of life, that comes into being through dance, song, and music – in all of life’s moments, including the brighter and darker ones. It is a community that accommodates the bad along with the good – just as we would expect a family to do.
