The Kadosh Brothers

heartIsrael

Onn, Elay, and Elamar Kadosh are three brothers who from a young age have been creating original music together that crosses boundaries and genres, blending modern jazz, classical Arabic music, and progressive rock.

In recent years, the brothers have developed a unique musical language that merges different worlds into a personal musical signature, a new Israeli voice expressing multiculturalism, profound musical research, and a connection between ancient traditions and a contemporary language.

Onn Kadosh is a multi-disciplinary composer and performer currently pursuing a doctorate in classical composition. He is credited with a rare work of its kind: an Oud Concerto which he wrote and was performed by the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion.

Elay Kadosh is a double bassist who returned to Israel after completing a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance at The New School in New York on a full scholarship. During his time in the U.S. he performed with leading figures in the international jazz scene, becoming one of the most prominent names among promising young musicians.

Elamar Kadosh is a drummer and percussionist studying for a master’s degree at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. He performs with Israel’s top jazz musicians and participates in major productions, including the show on the life of Umm Kulthum led by Dikla and Shai Tsabari.

Now, they arrive at the Jerusalem Jazz Festival with a debut album and an original project that presents a new, deep, and groundbreaking musical voice.
