Alon Lotringer featuring Luna Abu Nassar
Alon Lotringer has made genre-bending part of his unique musical fingerprint – in his work as producer for some of Israel’s top artists (such as Yoni Rechter, Yehudit Ravitz, and others), as well as in his own original music.
Lotringer first became known as lead singer of MOORA alongside Omer Klein and Shachar Barabash, later releasing his debut solo album, that earned the praise of critics and audiences alike. Over the past two years, Lotringer has pored over his second solo release – choosing to write in English this time. While his influences are diverse, reaching from Art Rock to classic R&B, from Brian Eno inspired ambient exploration to Prince-style groove, Lotringer’s original work paints a wider musical picture, blowing a fresh breath of air into the local scene. Accompanied by a carefully selected all-star team of musicians, he takes a dive into his influences and shares his musical journeys. For this performance, Lotringer and his group will be hosting special guest Luna Abu Nassar, joining forces to create a colorful musical palette.
Abu Nassar is a Nazareth native, living and creating in Jaffa, previously a member of musical group System Ali. She has released two original albums to date – each one of them packed full of thought, emotion, and indescribable magic. Between Arabic and Hebrew, her music pierces like an arrow aimed straight at the heart. With gentleness and precision, their combined voices and colorful arrangements will tell a brand new tale.
