Avishai Cohen Quartet | Naked Truth

World Premiere

Avishai Cohen’s latest album Naked Truth, his fifth with the acclaimed international label ECM Records, dives deep into the center of the soul to gently land the listener in a contemplative, meditative space, on the verge of mysticism.
The Avishai Cohen Quartet, which includes pianist Yonathan Avishai, bassist Barak Mori and drummer Ziv Ravitz, is a bold and sensitive dialogue between four attentive, wonderfully synchronized musicians who allow each other to loosen up and discover the power of fragility.
The rich and expressive bass of Barak Mori, blends in with Yonatan Avishai’s gentle piano and Ravitz’s whispering cymbals as Cohen’s trumpet subtly unsettled and comforts at the same time. The result: a cradling musical mix, in delicate watercolors, richly restrained and longing and human. An unconventional, adventurous, and inspiring jazz journey.
