The National Big Band of the Center for Jazz Studies Tel Aviv (Stricker)

A jazz orchestra composed of youth, focusing on classical repertoire from the Golden Age of Jazz. The ensemble emphasizes the “swing” feel and acoustic performance, producing a big sound that remains faithful to the original style. The repertoire includes works by jazz greats such as Fletcher Henderson, Chick Webb, Jimmie Lunceford, Count Basie, and more.

The Big Band is conducted by Maestro Dany Rosenfeld, a jazz trumpeter, drummer, and arranger who has performed and recorded with top jazz musicians in New York and Israel.

The Center for Jazz Studies in Tel Aviv offers professional, in-depth training in the jazz tradition, including private instruction, improvisation workshops, jazz ensembles, masterclasses, and camps in collaboration with the prestigious New School University in New York. The center cultivates outstanding musicians who integrate into the forefront of the field both in Israel and globally.
