Ariel Bart & Omri Bar Giora

Israel

A warm and gentle guitar and harmonica duo playing music with a sense of romance and quiet intimacy, like a slow walk through a spring meadow surrounded by dewdrops glistening in the sunrise. A profound and unique musical bond between two young artists: harmonica player Ariel Bart and guitarist Omri Bar Giora.

Ariel is a harmonica player and composer who has worked over the years with some of the biggest names in Israeli and New York music, including Yossi Fine, Yemen Blues, Miki Gavrielov, Maya Belsitzman, William Parker, and as a soloist with the East West Orchestra. She has released two albums and is currently working on a trio project for harmonica, cello, and piano, with which she has performed at various festivals around the world.

Omri Bar Giora is a versatile guitarist and composer with a distinctive sound, blending stylistic influences from across the globe. He has independently released several original projects and collaborated with top musicians in Israel and New York, including legendary bassist Reggie Workman, Matt Wilson, Daniel Zamir, and others.

The two have been playing together since their high school years, and during the COVID era began working on a duet project of original compositions and arrangements. Their debut album, Deep Down, was released in May 2024.

They’re bringing a delicate and moving performance to the Woodland Stage of the Jerusalem Jazz Festival. Surrounded by trees and a magical atmosphere, their heartwarming will fill the natural space. A deeply touching evening of gentle, yet innovative music that explores the creative boundaries between guitar and harmonica.
