Moonlight Choir 

The Choir of the Faculty of Multidisciplinary Music at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance was founded by Lilach Krakauer about a decade ago. It is dedicated to the exploration and performance of a wide-ranging, multidisciplinary vocal repertoire—from Israeli music to gospel, African music, and jazz. Today, the choir is jointly led by Lilach Krakauer and Maayan Bar-Sabar Partok.

Together, they bring the choir members into “The Space That Sees”, the celestial architectural sculpture by internationally renowned artist James Turrell, filling the unique space with pure vocal harmony. The choir’s repertoire includes original arrangements by the two conductors, as well as arrangements by Academy alumni throughout the years of musical pieces both familiar and obscure, from all genres and eras. The voices of the choir will resonate through the space, creating an unforgettable experience of sound in an extraordinary setting, transforming this artistic hall into a vocal cathedral.
